A content management system (CMS) is a computer application that allows publishing, editing and modifying content, organizing, deleting as well as maintenance from a central interface.
At Garrant Consulting, we can integrate a content management system into your website to allow you to easily keep your website updated. We have extensive experience using Statamic, Craft Content Management System from Pixel & Tonic and also ExpressionEngine from EllisLab.
Statamic is a flat file CMS that cuts the database out of the equation. Without a database, Statamic allows you to quickly build, manage, and version control beautifully creative websites. Statamic includes just about any feature you can image out of the box such as a form manager, asset manager and user permission controls. You can learn more about Statamic at https://statamic.com.
Craft is a commercial content management system, and it is typically our preferred choice for new projects. The feature set out-of-the-box is amazing and you will rarely need to buy any additional plugins. Craft has a fantastic Live Preview feature to allow you so see your changes before you publish them. Craft also has a really affordable pricing platform with free updates. You can learn more about Craft at https://buildwithcraft.com.
ExpressionEngine is a commercial content management system that we have used on many websites over the past few years. It is mature, very secure and has a great selection of plugins available. The beauty of ExpressionEngine is the fact that pretty much any function you could ever need either is built in or already has a plugin developed. ExpressionEngine projects typically will require a few commercial plugins so it can get a bit costly when compared to Craft. You can learn more about ExpressionEngine at https://expressionengine.com.
